The manufacturing process of curved glass
The manufacturing process of curved glass mainly includes two methods: hot bending process and cold bending process. The specific process flow is as follows:
Hot bending process
1. Original sheet cutting
Cut the flat glass to size, remove burrs and clean the surface to ensure the quality of subsequent processing
2. Tempering treatment
Heat the glass to 550-650℃ (annealing or tempering), soften it and then place it in a mold to form.
The glass is bent by mechanical pressure or gravity and then rapidly cooled to form a compressive stress layer.
3. Youdaoplaceholder0 post-processing
Including drilling, edge grinding, coating (UV protection, anti-glare), etc., to ensure shape accuracy and surface quality.
Cold bending process
Hard break into shape
By taking advantage of the inherent deformability of glass, it can be installed in place through manual or mechanical bending without heating.
Process characteristics
Hot bending : suitable for complex curved surfaces (such as spherical surfaces, bending), with good optical performance, but high cost and difficult transportation.
Cold bending : low cost, convenient transportation, suitable for simple curved surfaces, but the surface quality depends on the operation technique.
Both processes require strict control of parameters such as temperature and air pressure to avoid mold marks or deformation.
